Teaching versus Research

Hi, Sunayama!

I am going to answer you based on my local reality - a Brazilian context. In Brazil, there is still a predominance of academic research output that end up not being put in practice for teaching effectiveness. There is a huge gap between teaching practices (especially in public school settings) and research output. Either way, I consider both important (research output and teaching effectiveness) so that they can complement each other.
