Universities must create culture, with the development of research, preserve culture, through professional training, and promote culture, through university extension.

Research should characterize and differentiate the university from other institutions. Obtaining scientific results that impact on the development of society and the quality of life of the population, helps to guarantee a higher quality in the education of new professionals and the training of the scientists that the countries demand.

The integration of research with the other substantive processes of the university, aligning teachers and students in programs and lines of research prioritized by the university, is very important.

The incorporation of the students into the research groups will contribute to their academic and scientific training and, therefore, that the graduates of the universities possess the investigative and innovation skills necessary to give a timely response to the increase in the level of complexity of technological processes.

The current demand for papers for promotions in tertiary institutions in developing countries has taken over the effective teaching on the part of most lecturers. However, research activities are meant to promote knowledge but such is not the case on the part of many lecturers who use the same old notes and handouts for instructional delivery.

As much as research activities are important and enhance the career development of lecturers, the effective instruction of learners who hold the pipes of the future and are the future working force of most industries is really important. This may have accounted for the half-bred or half-baked products that churn out of most tertiary institutions in developing countries who end up being unemployed because of lack of efficient skills to cope with the ever-changing working environment.

The way forward is that great scholars need to develop their instructional methods and afford their learners enough time for their tutoring, mentorship, and teaching. They should plan their time very well while balancing their personal research projects with the content to be taught learners.

Now that we are moving into the age of connectivism and research-oriented tutoring, lecturers can tailor research works for students in relation to the requirements of the content to be taught them. This would facilitate the development of their research capabilities.

Teaching, research and consultancy/public service are the main activities academic staffs at Universities are expected to be doing. Research therefore, Should be an integral part of teaching as it enables the teacher to generate new knowledge in his area of expertise. Without engagement in research and publications, lecturers will be passers of knowledge of generated by others. However, my experience at University in Africa has seen lecturers in some cases over engaging in research and publication at the expense of teaching and running tutorial to students. This is particularly the case as the  Universities demands publications as a criteria for promotion..

Is it possible to accumulate the response received at RG and  pass it on to the concerned authorities  of the UGC/University administration to take appropriate action against defaulting teachers.This will be a great service for future generations.

Knowledge is obsolete and needs constant development and updating. I believe that scientific research affects the behavior of teachers positively

Yes,Ideally  the scientific research should affect the  quality of teaching but the ground reality is that the behavior of  majority of teachers   is far away from positivety due to various reasions.

Education mafia appoints hardly 1-2 teachers for over 100 UG & PG students and almost every  student  gets distinction but is not able to tell basic facts about their subjects.

While senior and knowledgaable teachers take salary from  their institution and run parellel coaching; young postgraduates fall pray in the hands of Education Mafia who pay them a very meagere salary as low as Rs 2000-3000/- pm.

Bright students do not get teaching positions due to corruption in appointing process.

Then,question is who is going to lead the future of the nation?

In many cases the culture of "publish or perish" many negatively influence the quality of teaching in academia, as teachers should be engaged in doing different research projects that may not be informative for their teaching practice. Unfortunately, in teachers' promotion in many contexts, more attention has been paid to their research activities rather  than their teaching quality. 

An institution of higher education differs from another type of educational institution because of the knowledge that is generated from the research results that are achieved. This new knowledge should be generalized by teachers in their classes, based on the analysis of these results in the pedagogical groups of the subjects, updating them in terms of content and teaching methods. That is, teaching in universities is characterized by the introduction of advances in science and technology, in the knowledge to be acquired by students in training.
