Is SILAR technique can be useful for preparation of 2D monolayers e.g. boron nitride?

Although I am not familiar with SILAR, this method seems to be useful to grow 2D structures. By using proper structures of the substrates, even 1D and 0D structures can be achieved. When applying to semiconductor low D structures, however, extremely high purity is needed sometimes. Therefore, keeping high purity is very important in the repeated dippimg process of SILAR.
