Md - by a review paper - I assume you mean a 'critical review' of an existing study - either supporting and/or critiquing the finding outcomes? If so - this is a useful 'entry' into publishing for 'young/new/novice' academic authors. It helps to build initial skills of dealing with journals and editors etc. However, a word of caution is not to over-rely on a particular format. I have known authors who have critiqued many studies but, those alone, do not assist academic promotion/career direction. There are other forms of review paper as well - such as book review.

The criteria are usually stated by the journal and are usually 500-1,000 words of a balanced and objective critique.

Md. Kudrat - Review paper is very helpful not only for a young scientist even most experiences researchers. The review helps us to look for gaps in knowledge and to succinctly review recent progress in a particular topic. Overall, the paper summarizes the current state of knowledge of the topic. It creates an understanding of the topic for the reader by discussing the findings presented in recent research papers. It is a means of demonstrating the author's knowledge about a particular field of study, including vocabulary, theories, key variables and phenomena, and its methods and history. In fact no research should take place without review because it helps us to know what knowledge is already available on a particular problem and what is to be done.

Dear sir, Science do not discriminate any one on any basis. Review of literature is the life blood of any research which flows all along the length and breadth of ones research, from research gap identification, selecting research philosophy, approach, strategy, time frame, tolls and methods of data collection to discussion of ones findings. Whereas in my opinion a review article is an activity of an experienced researcher as it need system of profound knowledge about a particular topic being reviewed and it generally comes from working on that topic, not by mere reading the research findings of others. A sound review paper need analytical ability, critical thinking and drawing conclusions from many research findings and personal research experience. A young researcher does review of literature to understand about the gaps and other aspects as mentioned before for taking up research, but when you review a topic you are analysing the status, development or say impact, etcetera about a topic. It is always better that one review a topic only after gaining some deeper research experience in the topic of interest or one can write with an experienced researcher. Science is for everyone and everyone can write ,but what to write, when to write and how to write should be decided based on ones expertise.

It is a very technical question. To do literature review is good for young researchers as they will gain most ideas in their field. But to write and publish a review in a good journal is very difficult for them. And according to me, the manuscript should be polished by most experienced professor means specialist in the said field.....

Still it is most important part of research.

Basically from review articles researchers get a brief view about the topic and also to find the research gaps which also useful in finding the research problem.

In my opinion is one of the best ways to start a scientific career. A nobel scientific usually have not access to big samples and need to explore the previous published evidence. If finally he/she decided to summarize all the evidence and publish the article I can ensure that the article will have a good acceptance and will be cited by other authors.
