Lates calcarifer is a pelagic euryhaline fish living in brackishwater esturies and also in freshwater. They are opportunistic predators. Adults feed well on fresh trash fish, crustaceans or pelleted diets and Juveniles are easy to wean to pellets and live feed like artemia, rotifers, moina etc.
