Knowledge is what distinguishes human species from others, but how we use this knowledge depends only on man. Man can use his intelligence and knowledge wisely, ie according to the innate need for self-preservation instinct and survival of the human species in changing environmental conditions, including the ongoing global warming process. But he also may not use his knowledge and intelligence for this purpose.
However, one should think positively that the previous generations, previous cultures, previous ancestors in the process of evolution and the process of development of cultures, development of civilization and finally development of technology have created modern man as being equipped with intelligence, self-awareness, knowledge, technology, i.e. unique instruments, thanks which man became a dominant species on Earth. But will it always be the dominant species on Earth? This question remains open. It will be settled in the future.
Knowledge, huge resources of knowledge and various possibilities of its use is what only one species has on Earth. Knowledge gives people a lot of potential to complete the next stages of technological and civilization development. However, if this knowledge allows to forecast new categories of natural, climatic and civilizational phenomena and to secure adequately against appearing threats, to use it as a development opportunity, time will show.
The following question may be added to these considerations: Will dinosaurs survive the global cataclysm caused by the impact of a large meteor on Earth, whether they survive global warming, drought, limited food resources and areas suitable for existence, if they knew when, where and in what form this cataclysm would occur? ? If dinosaurs survive this or still on Earth until now they would dominate as known dinosaurs or would a new species of intelligent post-dinosaurs be created? These questions will remain open due to incomplete knowledge in this topic.
If the knowledge in this matter would be supplemented in the future, will it change anything about the possibility of adapting people to such cataclysms that have destroyed dinosaurs? Not necessarily. Dinosaurs could only know what they could know, having a much more limited awareness of natural and cosmic phenomena. Dinosaurs could know very little about what a person knows, but they did not have the awareness of lack of knowledge and the need to increase knowledge resources through the development of scientific research. Man is probably the first species who, thanks to his intelligence and built knowledge, also has an awareness of the potential lack of knowledge. Man has this knowledge, is equipped with specific instruments for conducting scientific research and the possibilities of expanding knowledge resources. Man already possesses this knowledge, but will this knowledge prove to be helpful in surviving future cataclysms, their outpacing and securing them against them? The answer to this question will appear in the future and it is not yet decided. So the development of knowledge and what is being discovered, created with the help of knowledge, intelligence and creativity, should also be carried out wisely. Wisely, ie according to the need for self-preservation instinct, with the need to survive the human species.
This need should take into account the necessity to implement sustainable ecological development in the development of civilization, protect the natural environment, care for biodiversity in the natural biological ecosystems, individual species of flora and fauna, genomic composition in gene banks of endangered species of flora and fauna, that is, preservation of knowledge about biodiversity , natural resources of weeds created by nature. It is easy for humans to take pride in the perception that we are supreme in intelligence when we compare ourselves to other species on this planet. This could be a fallacy because we have not yet established a universal means of remaining in perpetual communication with the rest of creation to the extent that they (the other species) are able to communicate to us without violent compulsion their acknowledgement of our intellectual capacity. According to the wise of old in the ancient Swahili civilization, it was said, "asiyekujua hakuthamini" - one who does not know you does not value you; it was also said, "avumaye baharini papa, kumbe wengine wapo" - the whale prospers in the sea unaware that others exist.
On the other hand, every individual in the human community worldwide develops skills above the common pool of knowledge. This is indeed a fascinating question. I agree with the comments but like Rajiv Kumar Gupta suggests research may show how intelligent animals are. They generally do not kill each other without a reason. Animals have hierarchies, some take care of the old and sick. But most apply survival principles and protect the healthy young who are the breed's survival. I have worked with so many animals growing up on a farm. We had a bull calf who attacked a temporary laborer who coincidentally hurt his aunt. Maybe he didn't know. But he was my 900 lb pet and he had never acted like that before or after. Research suggests that animals have instincts for survival that are programmed into the breed for them to thrive and survive, but I do not think that it is that simple. Humans would do well to adopt some of the finer animal instincts, one might even say that would be an intelligent thing to do

if you are going to ask the question regarding degree of knowledge, then, our limited knowledge leads us to believe that we are the smartest on the planet. However, animals have societies, they exile the criminals or those that are a threat to their survival, animals show love and support. Some animals like raccoons can use tools (they will use a rock to break open a clam). Thousands of species return to breeding grounds that they left as babies or never inhabited. Dolphins and dogs can be trained to find bombs (not fair to either). The more examples that I think of, the more I question just how smart humans are.

I believe that all creatures have intellect and knowledge to some degree. When you observe the behaviour of wildlife etc and how they survive on a daily basis, it becomes evident. However i think its the "type" and "limit" of knowledge to each species. Human beings are seen as limitless when it comes to creation, dissemination and application of knowledge.
Knowledge without wisdom is like water in the sand...African quote OR Knowledge without wisdom is like a beautiful person without any moral values...IZUAKOR quote. So, it important to not just have knowledge but have wisdom to ensure that one uses their knowledge for the good of the world.

A lady once got angry with me on a social media platform for sharing information about how names can be used to map history. She said she doesn't have to know what I know. I think everyone is knowledgeable and intelligent depending on their age, environment and the paths they choose. Whereas some people are comfortable with financial intelligence, others thrive on nutritional intelligence or social intelligence within a given community, others pride themselves with theological or scripture knowledge and so on; then there are those of us who insatiably consume knowledge and get affected negatively every time we hit a plateau. That's right. I wonder if man will understand his role in nature in time, ie the role of repairing the damage caused to nature, to the biosphere and climate of the planet Earth by human civilization. If human intelligence is truly unique, then before a climate catastrophe occurs, man should restore the balance he has disturbed in time to prevent the risk of a climate catastrophe increasing from year to year.

Also, about knowledge although in it Integral part is the intellectualism, both phrases as aspects can be separated into different entity, and in separation when about knowledge all species do squire knowledge of some kind therefore makes their lives live-able. They recognise their food, shelter, etc.
