Campylobacter bacteria grow under anaerobic conditions in both liquid and solid specific media. They grow in its enrichment broth well and this enrichment is necessary for their growth. I do not think that it grow well on solid agar more than liquid media
Most Campylobacter species require a microaerobic atmosphere containing approximately 5% O 2 , 10% CO 2 , and 85% N 2 for optimal recovery.
The most common media are used to growth of campylobacter (columbia agar, brucella agar, blood agar,mueller-hinton agar thioglycolat agar )so i think it grow well and more clear on solid agar
