The term "Sustainable Drainage Systems" is not really descriptive. In my opinion the approach has never been "Sustainable" in the "Brundtland" meaning of the word. Is it not time for us to accept that on this occasion the Americans have the right term?

I feel that in the UK at least the SuDS terminologyis no longer helpful to our cause. I seek a consensus from European workers in the field and welcome comments from American colleagues.
