We know that the new leaders begin with good relations with all members of the company. This period is called by some authors by: "the month of wedding"
Is it that a leader is obliged to end the wedding month with these collaborators? If yes, how?
Dear Adel, A new company leader will invariably have a different view on how things should be run.
After the initial "honeymoon period" is over, such new leaders have had time to suss out the organisation, and so they make the changes that they think are necessary. This may be go as far as firing staff.
Thank you very much for your answer. I'am agree with you. The changes are necessary for many reasons. However, how to make these changes, differs from a leader to another.
We should not have a honeymoon period in our organization that I call it acting time or show time that is ended quickly after first real test of work or difficulty. I am not sure from honeymoon in different cultures. In British and Islamic cultures there is no real honeymoeen! people may be sacked after couple of hours from starting work. I would prefer to say management than leaders.
Thank you for your reply. Yes, I agree with you that in many companies management is based on the rule: competent or not competent. And on the basis of this rule, workers can be licensed after a few hours. But, the application of these rules as well as the change of manager or leader differs from one company to another according to more factors such as: the laws that govern these countries, civil society, etc.
In strong companies, employee retention is one of the key factors in achieving success. Even if the employees are linked to the company by a fixed-term contract. This policy avoids many losses of any kind. Yes, it is true, we can not generalize, but the manager or leader must have a resource management policy that leads to the success and sustainability of the company. His policy allows him to apply his program and his own vision by anticipating resistance to change.
