I have synthesized polyacrylic acid nano CaCO3 nanocomposite. searching for the applications of the same in waste water treatment, specially fo dye removal.
In mey knowledge nanocomkposite have been applied for dyes adsorption. Asd example I'm sending you the following reference: Carboxymethyl Tamarind-g-poly(acrylamide)/Silica: A High Performance Hybrid Nanocomposite for Adsorption of Methylene Blue Dye.
It would be interesting to use its nanocomposite to prepare mebrane hybrid that can be used for the absorption of different types of dyes.
If you are interested in a collaboration with my research group can contact me at this address:[email protected] . hearing from you soon on this matter. Best regards, Laura Donato
You should be able to test your nanocomposite samples for adsorption of dye provided your nanocomposites samples do not dissolve in dye solution. Are your samples in form of hydrogels or polymeric membrane?
Thank you all for valuable inputs. I will be try it out for dyes. I will be using a high percentage of nano CaCO3 in nanocomposite it will act as hydrogel. The decomposition of CaCO3 may be possible at acidic pH, thanks again...
