In many vehicles, the idling speed of the engine isn't sufficient to supply necessary output current. At this time, the Pulley Ratio needs to be modified in order to amplify the engine rotating speed to a large Alternator input speed. Can this be done by using a Gearbox? If yes, then when kind of gears can be used? If no, then what are the alternatives which could amplify the output current at low idling conditions?

Practical: no.
Such a gear box always adds to losses, requires maintenance. And - due to size and weight - adds mechanical problems to a system already critical due to the high radial load resulting from belt tension.
We already discussed an alternative in another thread: when it comes to "wringing" the last out of the alternator (at cost of overall efficiency), some kind of boost regulator (you already have literature about that) will do the job. Better and wth less (mechanical) problems than any gear box can do.

In my opinion, a belt-driven CVT is another mechanically possible option. You'll be able to maintain the alternator shaft rotational speed at your desire e.g. the rpm that supplies max output.
Still, it's still impractical and prone to mechanical problems like U. Dreher said. Car manufacturers would want to keep things simple and cheap.
Generators today are typically on demand, I E they usually have a free wheeling clutch that is controlled by the engine ecu, so that the generator is only engaged when needed, the benefit of this to reduce parasitic losses because the generator isn't needed all the time
This effect can be further strengthen by regenerative braking systems
