Dear Researchers,

If a random data is following a gamma distribution, with Beta is the shape parameter and Alpha is the scale parameter. If we know that Beta is taking only a random value between 1 to 1.5, Is it possible to simplify that distribution to exponential (which has a Beta=1)? And If that was possible, what is the justification? 

I hope I explained my question in good way.
