Is it possible to retrieve Topspin Peak list without writing it to a file, for use in topspin python script?

All,

I am looking for a way to retrieve the peak list for an active dataset in Topspin.

What I CAN do:

Write a macro that saves the peak list as a .txt

Use python to read that txt

Do some thing, but outside of topspin

But, is there a way to pass the peak list into memory without actually hard saving it as a .txt file? Even if I could just get a list of the peak intensities back, with or without the peak numbers, that would be extremely helpful.
