We are currently researching how we could possibly innovate and lessen the cost of UHPC, and we thought to replace fine aggregates with agro-waste such as tobacco. Unfortunately, there are no available researches about this. Do you think this idea would be feasible without compromising the durability and workability of the UHPC?
You will face the problem of water absorption by the fibers and the loss of bond due to shrinkage of concrete. You need to treat the fibers physically or chemically to overcome this problem.

Tests of the aggregate substitute should be performed to determine the basic properties.
Physical and chemical properties of agro waste need to be determine and then check the compatibility to use as fine aggregates. Fine aggregates in UHPC is very important ingredient affect many properties of UHPC.
