Is it possible to measure cell fluorecence using digital microphotographs of a epifluorescence microscope?

I use the CFDA technique to measure ROS production in cells. So, I measure it using a spectrofluorometer. I think that I could use an epifluorescence microscope and then take digital microphotographs. These photographs would be analysed using Image J for example. Is is possible?
