I have found in my dissertation research (2009) that even though the University runs cultural competency workshops for faculty, the Caucasian faculty who need them the most, rarely attend and so the problem of cultural insensitivity in teaching a culturally and internationally diverse student population continued. The attach further elaborates on this finding.

Article Workforce Education and Development (WED): Graduate Students...
Teachers are the back bone of our education system.Teacher responsibility is equally high as they have to train the student of various categories where intelligence & knowledge also differ from one another.
This fact is also to be taken care of by the teachers.Another important area where teacher have to care of for the syllabus which are periodical changing for which also they have to study & impart the training to the student in this line.
Besides training to be imparted to the student teachers have to see & observe the development of the various student & according to the line of their development , they have to take care & offer the guideline & necessary atmosphere for the students .
In this line it is equally necessary that teacher should remain whenever necessary to touch & remain in contact with the parent so that both can exchange their views for the guideline of both .
