The core difference between the two committees is that:
-3GPP assumes a managed network
A telecom operator is there, users are securely identified (SIM)
-IEEE802.11 comes from IT, with no telco assumed

But don't you think it is a waste of resources to solve the problem twice and then creating another problem of interfacing and interoperability, whereas they can have unified meetings and work to accelerate the process and avoid future hurdle?
