Yes, it is possible.

Just choose frequency output 1 in the outparam namelist. For example:

atmfrq = 1., ! Frequency in hours to write to ATM

srffrq = 1., ! Frequency in hours to write to SRF

You can find supporting data for RegCM in the following link:

They have recently added CMIP6 data, but for now you can use only MPI-ESM1-2-HR model. I think in the near future they will add other CMIP6 models. In following link you can find a bash script for download MPI-ESM1-2-HR data:

I am not familiar with the other RCM models. However, with RegCM you can have nice output for your area. You just need to select suitable schemes (model physics).

By default RegCM uses BATS and hydrostatic core (MM4). I recommend you to use CLM4.5 and NON hydrostatic core (MM5).
