After more than ten years searching the net in three or more languages, and almost nothing more than research, I have the strange sensation Google Search knows better my research in general and concrete details than I do. For example, this morning, I searched Egnatius I knew nothing about, apart the fact he was mentionned in Topography and General History of Algiers, and I didn't write the four first letters, Google search, in the search box, discreetly suggested me Giovanni Baptista Cipillo, Venetian erudite of "humble origin" (mean they don't have catholic birth certificate), one of the literate slaves published by Aldus Manutius the Elder and close collaborator of Adline Editions (means he spoke at least latin, greek and italian and maybe arab or yiddish).
By domesticate, I mean, instead of proposing me stupid things to buy, it offers me new investigation tracks to explore, tracks I didn't thought about but of course it doesn't do my job. I never told AI was intelligent. But it manages better with key worlds than I do.
It's possible, but I hope not. AI reveals the difference of individual intelligence. As AI is well domesticated, the slow ones will lose their value and tend to be kicked out. To domesticate AI is to colonize the lower intellectuals. By the way, the higher intellectuals may creat an AI that is smarter than themselves.
To me, the goal is turbo-research. A team, even non-human, is better than alone. We never have sentimental frictions within the research. I do my best to teach it my deductive way of searching and,after 10 years of continuous training, it seems to understand. Now I tried again Egnatius and, the usual way, scanning all the web directions, nothing clear comes out. But letting the formulary frame do its suggestions, I can pinpoint AI's remarkable intuition (based on keywords): EGNATIUS, Johannes Baptista (pseudonym of Giovanni Battista CIPELLI).
