I want to know if STH and schistosome eggs are resistant to freezing and can be detected a second time if forzen feces are reanalyzed by the Ritchie concentration method and Kato-Katz.
In agreement with Hala Elwakil and Hairul Hafiz Mahsol, eggs of STH and Schistosomes could be subjected to mechanical and molecular distortion as a result of the extremely low temperature associated with freezing. Hence, they could only be useful for prevalence/ intensity studies.
We found eggs of Hymenolepis nana in frozen feces, but the eggs of schistosomes have a much thinner shell, so it's likely that when frozen, it collapses
Yes, I am agreed with Ermakova and Elwakil. You may recognised the eggs as STH and schistosmes only for prevalence discovery or incidence study, not for identification species or taxonomy.

I agree with Mr. Atalabi Tolulope n Mr.Hairul Hafiz. STH and Schistosomes examination using frozen stool can be done as a practice way to determine prevalence study.
I am in agreement with Hala Elwakil Mahsol Hairul and Hafiz, eggs of schistosomes and STH could be submitted to a distortion molecular mechanics. Very low temperatures quickly destroy the eggs of hookworm duodenal. By against conservation at 4°C and 8°C during 24h would make a diagnosis parasitologist molecular and without worry and even make studies of prevalence/intensity.
It depends on the refrigeration temperature of the sample and the number of days.If the samples are refrigerated at +4 during a day, you can make the identification of the species the following day.for more than two days, I think Not that it is possible to identify
Hello!! I am reanalyzing the forzen samples of feces and I am finding many samples with Trichuris trichuria and Ascaris lumbircoides eggs. However, in several samples I could observe stranges bodys that I can not identify. I dont know if they are polen grains, artafacts or destroied eggs. The size is aproximatly as an ascaris egg. Can anyone help? Thanks
