I study the liquid flow above porous medium layer is saturated with the same liquid. The liquid is viscous, and I use the Brinkman model as main with boundary conditions for viscous stresses is proposed by Ochoa-Tapia and Whiltaker ("Momentum transfer at the boundary between a porous medium and a homogeneous fluid", I and II, Int. J. Heat Mass Transfer, V. 38 (14), 1995). The study plan contains the study with the different boundary conditions, e.g., by Beavers and Joseph ("Boundary conditions at a naturally permeable wall", J. Fluid Mech., V. 30 (1), 1967).

The BJ-condition does not describe the viscous stresses at the interface and the velocity profile in boundary layer near the interface within porous medium. Is it possible to use that condition instead of tangential stresses jump with saving other conditions (the normal stresses jump and velocity continuity)?
