Simply use an orthogonal wavelet for your DWT such as the Haar wavelet or the Complex Daubechies wavelet developed by JM Lina in 1995.

The discrete wavelet transform is orthogonal. Use rather Meyer (Dmey) than Haar wavelet, because this later has poor spectral efficiency properties. See the papers attached for more details.
