Is it possible for scientific research to adopt pictures of insect parts instead of drawing with the camera lucida?

Dear Faisal,

of course it is possible. I abandoned the drawing with "camera lucida" (microscope drawing pad) a long time ago. I use two alternatives: 1) simple photograph (layers merged by Combine ZP) and 2) drawing based on a photograph using Photoshop (outlining structures). Both as an example in the file attached.
