I've been comparing the UV-Vis spectrum for oxidized MWCNT and the same non oxidized material in a few organic solvents (tetrahydrofuran, dimethylformamide, toluene and chloroform) and for DMF, toluene and chloroform, the spectra seems to be as any other I've found in literature I've read, but for THF, there's like a hole in the band of MWCNT. I've noticed the same behavior in non treated CNT in THF (I've use thin probe sonicator for dispersions). I couldn't find any explanation for this untill now and appreciate some help
This may be an artefact of the measurement - I would suggest taking some spectra of milky solutions, for comparison.
Hugh J Byrne Thanks for your suggestion! But why do you suggest a milk spectra? I mean, I tryied the analysis in Chloroform, DMF and Toluene and i got a normal spectra, but for THF there's that "hole"
