According to my knowledge absorbance for any analyte varies a bit with respect to time and type of UV-spec etc... I have observed in some research articles, they mentioned maximum absorbance in ranges instead of single wavelengths.
So you can proceed with the wavelength for which you get maximum absorbance.
The registered lambda max depends on how accurately the spectrometer is calibrated, yours and the one used for the literature reports. Lmax can also appear to shift if the sample is very concentrated and the spectrometer is close to saturation. There can also be solvatochromatic shifts in different solvents.
