Yes they should. To prepare the medical students in performing their core task which is to save human life, they need all the knowledge in the medical field including the theoretical and practical knowledge dessiminated by the medical teaching staff by way of the regular lectures.
Can we expect medical students to be pushed in a surgery ward the first day of college? Do they have the theoretical knowledge and have they been exposed to the long experience that practitioners have accumulated in the field? Can we think that they do not need this theoretical background knowledge to start a career in medicine?
Thanks a lot, but can they read alone in library , provided that he has all the lectures objective, as well as the sources of getting the informations become accessible.
