Hello Muhammad Ahmed, I presented several papers at national and international conferences. At the conferences I attended in 2013, I met several editors of journals and met many experienced educators and researchers. Then from the comments on my papers, I learned to improve my writing and send my papers to journals.
For the second question, we can be sure that a conference is genuine, if it's an international conference reasonably nearby that we can attend in person. That is the view point of a conservative researcher that I am. Good luck.
Hi, Vašku, watch this: https://www.waset.org/. It is kind of predatory publisher (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Predatory_open_access_publishing), which organizes hundreds of conferences per year. Such as conferences are genuine but poor quality. Avoid them.
My experience is that it does not make so much sense to publish in conference proceedings. The chances are low that someone will read them (therefore, few number of citations) and personnel recruiters are not impressed because they do not go through the "hard" process of peer review as do journal articles.
