Hi, I am an engineering graduate in E&C. Is it good to do M.tech in Nano Technology? From aicte faculty norms, I find that one should have b.tech & m.tech in the relevant branch for getting a teaching job. Does it covers nanotechnology also? I know that its good for private jobs. But I am interested in teaching. Would I be eligible for the associate/assistant professor according to aicte norms if I do M.tech & Ph.D in nanotechnology ?
If no, kindly tell me the M.tech specializations that comply with aicte norms.

Nanotechnology is an interdisciplinary field and students of almost all branches of engineering are taken into this course. Check out the eligibility criteria of individual colleges before taking admission as not all colleges might be taking EC graduate.

I would never prescribe to pursue M.Tech.in Nano after doing B.Tech.in E & TC.It will not take you anywhere.
