The method you refer to takes oleic acid as the reference (or often as the average) for all the different oils present in a sample.
If you know what the most abundant oil (if not the only oil type present) is you can/should adjust the factor.
In a study where the researchers used palmitic acid as reference, they adjusted the factor. For palmitic acid a correction factor of 25.6 was used.
