We are currently trying to come up with a running title for a projection that focuses on acid mine drainage specifically from a copper mine. However, we are not sure if the term "copper acid mine drainage" is scientific.

the term AMD is used for all types of acid mine drainage regardless of their origin. From my point of view you could use copper acid mine drainage, even it is not a specific term. We have in Germany AMD resulting from copper ores mainly from the copper shale and from the black shales.

Agree, but I would suggest edit to copper mine acid drainage, to clarify and speak to a specific type of acid drainage. However, I understand some language customs may be different, so use the word grouping that best fits your intent.

I would recommend you avoid using copper acid mine drainage as the acid mine drainage from a copper mine may contain a range of different metals and metalloids, not just copper. The term might therefore be misleading.
If you want to be specific you can follow Williams suggestion or say "acid mine drainage from a copper mine". Depending on the nature of the drainage, another common term for acid drainage that has been neutralised (on contact with rock with acid neutralising capacity for example), but still contains elevated metals/metalloids (buts most commonly As, Cd, Zn, Ni that tend to still remain in solution at near neutral pH) is "metalliferous mine drainage" or "neutral mine drainage".

I agree that acid mine drainage contains a variety of metals and metaloids. The reason why I am specific its because the mine I am going to be working with is a copper mine. Hence, I wanted to audience to capture that from the title.

Taking into conisderation your comments and these of our colleagues, you might want to write “[Metalliferous] acid mine drainage from a [working/abandoned] copper mine [in XYZ]” – From my point of view this would be absolutely scientifically correct.
