Software like comsol, ansys, abaqus etc., I want to study mechanical properties and compare the experimental results using modelling software obtained from the microstructure.
What kind of microstructure are you trying to generate ? Ansa software, from Beta CAE systems includes an RVE gemerator tool that can generate various microstructure types and predict structural properties.
I am using Comsol software. Working on Aluminun composite. I want to simulate the heat transfer studies at microstructure level. I have basic level of knowledge of such activity. Do you recommend something related to that? Thank you.
I can name some software for generating a mesh of the desired microstructure but to my knowledge none of them can be used directly with comsol. This means that even though you can easily import the microstructure to comsol , you will need to perform manually the boundary conditions application and the post processing of the results, e.g. for computation homogenization to extract the homogenized thermal properties.
Some of the most known software with microstructure generation capabilities are : Beta CAE Systems' ANSA, Ansys material designer, Altair's Multiscale designer, Digimat.
