With development of polymer-based fluorescent light transformers (in other words LDS materials), is it a real deal to develop the dye-doped polymer fluorescent materials with operation time of 15-20 years?
Dear Professor Byrne, many thanks for your answer. I absolutely agree with you that singlet oxygen is the main obstacle while creating of dye-doped polymer LDS materials.
Another, no less important reason is it probably due to the formation of the crystalline phase and the appearance of microcracks in operation?
Hi Vladimir, you are probably right, but I imagine it also depends on the specific material(s). To my knowledge, plasticisers and other additives are not included.
