Hi! I am planning to submit my ongoing doctoral work for a back-to-back conference and a doctoral colloquium, being organized by the same organizer. There are no explicit norms about not submitting the same work at both of these. What is your opinion about sending the same research at a competitive paper section in the main conference as well as the doctoral colloquium? Thank you in advance for your help!

I agree with Malini. What is the use of focusing on the same topic again.
I have also seen the same author publishing the same paper in two different journal (very rare: I have seen just once or twice but I do not remember now where the papers were published).
May be there are reasons behind it but not desirable.
