There is a considerable increase in Sports Participation also in addition to a steady increase in viewership. Before India which was active in Cricket alone but now Indian sports excels in a variety of games and win accolades in diversified sports winning a good amount of medals in all competitions. It is but natural that recreational will be always more than professional participation.
