Water is always said to be good for human body. When can it become excess or harmful to human body as to be able to determine appropriate daily intake?
Firstly, I think it depends on the type of water. If it is water rich with algae, the presence of KNO3, which is a fertilizer will bring about voluminous production of algae, the decomposition of which will place demand on the available oxygen in the water and thus increases the chemical oxygen demand. I think this has to do with polluted environment and one of the adverse effects of nitrates on aquatic environment.
