The recent report published by World Bank Group titled Global Waves of Debt emphasizes ballooning Global Debt and its consequences for the Global Economies. My queation is; is the current debt buildup really global or that the debt accumulated globally is gravitated more toward Emerging Economies and Developing Countries and less concentrated in Developed Countries, or Vice Versa?
According to the report, in my opinion no one can pay the debt (if USD 56,000 is spoken per person), but the gravitation in absolute values is of the developed economies, the emerging ones are the ones questioned but not the ones that have a specific weight real in world debt
Speaking of increasing debt, it is often put on the table by the Bretton-Woods Institutions, in the sense of controlling developing countries. While looking at the debt relative to the GDP of the developed countries, we realize directly that they are more in debt. This is the example of certain EU countries, one of which is constantly on a drip; we can also mention the former second economic power in the world or the country of the Rising Sun indebted to more than 200% of GDP according to IMF in 2017.
