There are rising concerns as to whether fish should be considered, in the context of alarming marine pollution, a healthy food and for nutritional security.

Several areas in the seas especially those in the near-shore zones which are thoroughly flooded with domestic and industrial effluents, become a severe/potential source of bioaccumulation of hazardous materials/chemicals/pollutants. The fish in these zones (still lot of fishing taking place within 5-10 km of the coastal zone) become not only vulnerable to fishing but also an easy catch (thanks to their reduced escape reflexes) for the prey, the bigger fish.

In this context, I'd appreciate if you could provide your views and arguments.
