Well, suitability of ash incorporation in concrete can be assessed by series of checks, either the ash synergize the chemical reactions occuring within the concrete microstructure or how the concrete chemically treat the additive ash or is there any deleterious upon its addition.
Secondly, additive ash incorporation process must not be health hazardeous even if the ash is fatal to human health (e.g. hospital waste ash).
Lastly, chemical/minerological composition of all bio mass and industrial waste ash is almost similar with varing proportions of minerals except the presence of traces in different ashes. Therefore, ash minerology depends on burning temperature, sufficient air supply during burning(open air burning or furnace) and origin of burning material.
