They are publishing papers from law, management department etc. But the scope of the journal are

Section H: Quality Consideration accepting multidisciplinary Scope Manuscripts
Dear Partha Pratim Kalita You are absolutely right, there is something seriously wrong with the journal “European Chemical Bulletin”. I first noticed this and commented on this here on RG in my reply in the following question https://www.researchgate.net/post/Is_there_anyone_who_could_provide_an_insight_on_Scopus_indexed_journals_for_management_and_social_sciences
I think that this is an example of a Journal that started legit and is either sold (hijacked?) or taken over by a management with nothing but profit as their priority.
There are numerous red flags:
- As you already noticed they accept and publish nowadays suspiciously more papers nowadays. This is often a reason for Scopus to discontinue. This suspicious increase started already in 2022 (see Scopus content coverage here https://www.scopus.com/sourceid/21100898023 ) Update: According to the latest list July 2023 (see enclosed file) the journal is now discontinued.
-There are already disturbing comments by researchers which can be found in the comment section of SCImago https://www.scimagojr.com/journalsearch.php?q=21100898023&tip=sid&clean=0
-If you google the title then the ores.su link pop-ups. This is a red flag since I noticed that in almost all cases there are/were issues with that particular journal title (either hijacked, too easy acceptance of papers, peer review that can be manipulated, already discontinued titles etc.)
-Not sure how this journal has been indexed in Scopus in the first place but it is included in the stand-alone version of the Beall’s list (https://beallslist.net/standalone-journals/ )
-According to Table 3 here https://journals.asm.org/doi/10.1128/mbio.03108-20 the journal is also mentioned in Cabell’s blacklist
So, yes you are right we need to put a big warning sign when it comes to this journal.

Our paper was accepted for publication in this journal and We must pay 999 $ dollars,
BUT We don't now if it is impacted or not.
Dear Jamel Mejri as already indicated in my previous reply, everything published in this journal after 2022 will no longer be indexed in Scopus since the title is discontinued, see here https://www.scopus.com/sourceid/21100898023 where it is shown in the meantime.
They are not indexed in Clarivate's ESCI or SCIE so no impact factor (you can check indexing here https://mjl.clarivate.com/home ).
Personally I would try to withdraw the paper and not pay the APC. Not sure whether it will work since the journal does not act according to scientific standards (anymore).
