Some people with IT background recently told me that this is ERP implementation and there is a lot of literature on this subject. As I am adopting the concept of business process orientation (BPO) to identify the relationship of its 5 core elements with internal/cross-functional integration people suspected that my research is not novel and has been studied in IT literature for many years. I was wondering if that's really the case?

Usually, BPO is implemented as a cost-saving measure for tasks that a company requires but does not depend upon to maintain their position in the marketplace
