I tried to analyse diethylamine in hplc with UV detector but it was not giving satisfactory results. Will using UV/Vis spectrometer in case of diethylamine will be usefell?
Methylamine has no absorption above 210 nm (http://www.chem.ucla.edu/~bacher/UV-vis/uv_vis_tetracyclone.html.html). I would not expect Diethylamine to have bands at (much) higher wavelength.
Have a look at http://satellite.mpic.de/spectral_atlas/cross_sections/Organics%20(N-compounds)/Amines/(C2H5)2NH_Tannenbaum(1953)_298K_168.2-263.2nm.txt
I agree with this answer ,tried to analyse diethylamine in hplc with UV detector but it was not giving satisfactory results. Will using UV/Vis spectrometer in case of diethylamine will be usefell?
