Hi,
I am planning to do a photocatalytic (UV) reaction in DCE/DCM solvent. I am not sure if these solvents are stable under 254 nm UV irradiation.
Has anyone tried such a thing before?
Thanks
You may reasonably expect at least some degradation, especially if your catalyst is TiO2 (a standard material in these procedures).
Hi Saayak,
Your solvents DCE and DCM are stable under 254 nm UV light . Good Luck
Thanks Mr Pavlov for the insight! I am doing an organic reaction , and it doesn't have TiO2 or any other catalyst !!
Thank you Mr Hanna for the answer!!!!!
