I agree that chronobiology is more than just a scientific field. It plays massive translational roles in our world. Besides boosting agriculture, it can also help define the most efficient work days and work hours, especially regarding shift work. Healthcare can benefit as mentioned with drug delivery timing but also with the architecture of hospitals and clinics (sun exposure etc). It can be employed in school systems for children who are night owls and are disadvantaged with early morning exams. For future space travel it will become important and still remains essential to be considered and implemented somehow for people working in extreme environments such as military, arctic and antarctic stations, oil rigs and submarines.
