I am looking for a reference sample for retention curve determinations. By measuring this sample along with other normal samples we can check the validity of the results and the applied suctions.
Does anyone of you have experience with such stable and non-degrading samples? E.g. a mixture of different (sintered) ceramic grains? This workaround is general in soil chemistry, but not in soil physics as far as I know. But in my opinion it should.

Filter Paper method is a simple method for determining the soil suction. by this method you can measure very high suctions up to 10000 kpa. aslo y this way you can plot the SWCC.
Thank you Mehrdad for your suggestion. I studied some of the papers regarding filter paper use for suction determination. For our purpose this can indeed be an attractive method to checking the measured data.
