Archaeological site. Found near Pedro Ruiz Gallo in the Amazonas region of North Peru in a humid forest at 2500 m. Thanks in advance for your comments.
I do not think it's a parasite. They look like adventitious roots of some hemiepiphyte (climber or shrub). Araceae, Clusiaceae, Marcgraviaceae, Moraceae ...? . Important to check if it has exudates, characteristic odor, type of section in the thickest roots, etc.
I just went yesterday to the same place in San Jeronimo and remembered your question. That is why I have taken some photographs and asked locals more about this plant, which may be helpful. The plant grows on the trunks of trees, which it climbs to a great height. From there they begin to lower these roots and as they approach the ground the roots begin to open in several roots. Upon arrival, they put the roots and then climb the tree again. It has no leaves or flowers.
