Is anyone familiar with the parameterization of SVM algorithm when the context of its use is big data coming from medical claims? The features are essentially admission and discharge info, diagnoses and admission diagnoses, interventions and basic demographics, cost of care.

The classes we want to predict are outcomes (in-hospital mortality, in-hospital complications) as well as the Length of Stay.
