Hi All I'm a Suicide prevention Outreach Peer Worker and Masters of Social Work Student I'm currently in the process of compiling a literature review am hoping someone might be able to steer me in the right direction The Brief is as Follows

In recent years, the principles of person-centered care and recovery-oriented practice have gained significant recognition in mental health settings. These approaches emphasize the active involvement, autonomy, and empowerment of mental health consumers in their own care and recovery journeys. As we strive to create more inclusive and compassionate mental health services, it becomes crucial to explore innovative strategies that promote collaboration, shared decision-making, and individual agency. One such approach that holds promise is the engagement of mental health consumers in writing their own case notes as an adjunct to clinical and mental health peer worker case notes.

This thesis proposes the implementation of a pilot project aimed at investigating the potential benefits and feasibility of consumer-generated case notes in mental health care who are experiencing suicidality. By actively involving mental health consumers in documenting their own experiences, perspectives, and goals, we seek to explore the impact of this practice on the empowerment of individuals, the enhancement of person-centered care, and the promotion of empathy within the treatment team

Any mentoring to locate peer reviewed articles aligned with the above deeply appreciated

Sincerely
