Although I am very much a novice, I find it very interesting to consider the implications of dark matter being the result of gravity "spilling over" from extra dimensional spaces. Does anyone know of any work, published or unpublished, relating to this possible correlation?

Matthew, I am going to offer a suggestion that is outside of your preferred explanation for gravity. I am reacting to the suggestion that gravity is so weak because it is spilling over from extra dimensions. There is another explanation for the vast difference between the gravitational and electrostatic forces. For example, the forces between two electrons differ by a factor of about 1043. When the gravitational force and the electrostatic force are reduced to the forces between fundamental particles and expressed using natural units, it can be shown that the gravitational force can mathematically be expressed as the square of the electrostatic force (dimensionless units). This previously unrecognized relationship provides a new insight into these forces. These equations are independent of the model used to first generate them. Equations 15 to 21 in this paper show the effect that I describe.
For simplicity consider a five dimensional world. Fifth dimension is compact that is it is periodic. Five dimensional fields can be Fourier expanded in the fifth coordinate which is periodic, therefore yielding an infinite number of Fourier modes for each field. The zero mode is identified with the standard mode. However, the lightest Fourier mode (just above the zero mode), is also stable by what is known as the KK parity which is conserved. Conservation of the KK parity implies stability of the lightest kaluza klein particle (LKP). This concept was put forward by G. Servant and M. Tait in 2002. (See:hep-ph/0206071). For a neutral particle which propagates in the fifth dimension, LKP can be a candidate dark matter particle.

It has been popular to use 'branes' and ‘dark matter’ for some fancy modeling, and for 'explaining' actions in the Universe that have not been explained by standard physics. Since both branes and dark matter are not what they are supposed to be, and have not been proven or demonstrated in the laboratory, their commonality is useful fiction.
That does not mean that standard physics cannot explain it, just, that it has not been done yet. Or, that explanations by standard physics are not accepted because they have not been done by the 'right people', e.g., like me (or you?).
What do you think about my publications at ResearchGate? Discard them because it is me who wrote them?
Publications based on 'parallel universes', branes, worm-holes, etc. (I have read and enjoyed lots of science fiction) are hugely popular. The wilder the proposal, the more excitement. I did not use science fiction to design and do my experiments. Magically, I still made the desired compounds.
