based on Lithology (when we observe hydrothermal Breccia in some Bore Hole and gray silica veinlets with different direction in another Bore Hole), Alteration (most silicification and carbonization) and Geochemistry (especialy Mo) or Pyrite percent change during core study?
While we have different type of veinlets : 1) Gray silica/White silica (center) 2) Gray silica + Pyrite mineralization 3) Gray silica + Pyrite and rare Chalcopyrite mineralization 4) Silica/carbonate + esphalerite, galena and pyrite mineralization and 5) Alot of secondary carbonate veinlets cut all of veinlet system.
The abundance of carbonate may indicate propylitic alteration which is peripheral to porphyry copper systems. What about sericite or clay alteration around the veins, do you observe any of these?
Carbonates are all of the system and most cut every thing. Yes, i have seen sericite or clay alteration but not around the veins, exactly. Alterations are so mixed but as i said 2 alteration are dominant. 1) Carbonates and 2) Silicification.
My question was from different views not only alteration. What about another sign?
For a porphyry type mineralized intrusion:
Near or within mineralization: -pervasive alteration (not seen in the 2 photographs),
- lots of sulphides of Fe, Cu, Mo, gypsum in veins,
- post-mineral dikes
Outside or peripheral to mineralization:
-oxides of Fe in veins (hematite / magnetite)
instead of sulphides, epidote in veins,
- Pb - Zn sulphides in veins
It looks interesting what you have... i would say there is insufficient specific data to say anything more than keep looking .. put together your mineral assemblages and plot them spatially... you need to look at scale, what trends there are etc.. i do not understand your "gray quartz'" IM wondering if its got fine sulfides.. if you chip it does it smell of sulphur... .. this looks to me more like epitihermal and not porphyry and quite fine scale and structure controlled .. you need to organize this and find somebody local or international person to put this together .. as another small point you looking for directions to go.. make sure core oriented enven roughly and think about downhole EM or surface geophysics if it porphyry then IP if its more epithermal look more at EM.. any aeromag or other surface geophysics or geochmeitsry will also help surelly you would see some sort of zoning
