The availability of oxygen is still an issue in emergency care in resource poor setting in Africa ,how much would intravenous oxygen help poor resource settings?
I have heard nor seen nothing on IV oxygen therapeutic use. Instead I know something about intravenous administration of a physiologic oxygen-supersaturated solution. Please find a recent reference attached.
Best wishes.

This is a really interesting area. I'd never heard of IV O2 before your question. But looking at the available papers, it looks like it would need to be a continuous high volume infusion, with its associated need for fluid warming / monitoring, etc. I doubt that could ever be more cost or resource effective than piped or cylinder O2.
Incidentally, are you thinking of including ECMO in your search? There's a recent review of costs just out. However much costs go down in the coming decades, it's doubtful it will ever be possible in resource scarce environments.
